Today I finished writing a long academic paper, which is not my strong suit, in Spanish, which is not my first language. It took forever. My brain is soup. But I care a lot about the topic—rural lands and traditional knowledge in the context of wildfires—which calls on research carried out in southern Chile on and off over the last two years.
Anyway, it was good to have the constraint of the assignment and a deadline. Now, I’m giving myself the constraint of staying under 200 words and getting some sleep.
